2017 Hyundai Verna has been turning out to be a magnum-opus for the South-Korean automaker as in just 40 days of its launch in the Indian market, it has surpassed 15,000 bookings milestone. Hyundai has announced that the new-gen sedan has garnered overwhelming response by registering more than 124,000 enquiries since its official launch on August 22, 2017. The 2017 Hyundai Verna was launched in a price range of Rs. 7.99-12.61 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi), while it bridges the gap between the Elantra and Xcent sedans in the company portfolio.

Underpinning the all-new K2 architecture like its elder sibling Elantra, launched last year in India, it comes loaded with several first-in-segment features.
New-generation Hyundai Verna is available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in a total of 12 variants: E MT, EX MT, EX AT, SX MT, SX (O) MT, SX (O) AT, E MT Diesel, EX MT Diesel, EX AT Diesel, SX MT Diesel, SX+ AT Diesel, and SX (O) MT Diesel. The sedan is offered with both the 1.6 litre - Petrol and Diesel engine options with manual as well as automatic transmissions. The 1.4L engine has been phased out of the Verna lineup. The 2017 Hyundai Verna locks horns with the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid in the Indian market. Nearly 20 days back, Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood Superstar and Hyundai India brand ambassador, had tweeted that the sedan is smashing new records and has touched 12,000 bookings milestone.
