The 2017 Hyundai Xcent Facelift has been making quite a lot of buzz these days. After its specifications got leaked yesterday, the car has now been spotted in a dealership. A set of images revealed by Team-BHP shows the facelifted version ready for display in a showroom. Besides revealing more details about the interiors, the new set of images also confirms the speculation that the diesel variant will be getting the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that was seen on the new Grand i10 hatch, while the 1.1-litre U2 CRDi engine of the outgoing model might be discontinued.
As per the spec sheet revealed earlier, the 2017 Hyundai Xcent would be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options in five variants - E, E+, S, SX and SX(O). The dual front airbags and alternator management system (AMS) would now be available as standard features across all variants. However, at the same time, almost the variants will be losing some features as well, most significant of which is the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), which was standard across variants would now be available in only top-end SX and SX(O) variants. The two top-end variants will also be getting a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Design-wise, the facelift is getting some significant changes. The front now looks more aggressive with the redesigned bumper and grille inspired by the 2017 Hyundai Verna. The boot lid has got a new shape and the wraparound tail lamps now look quite different than the earlier version.
The new Xcent is slated to launch on 20th April, while bookings have already commenced. Once on the road, it will be competing head-to-head with the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Ford Aspire and Honda Amaze.
