Mahindra & Mahindra introduced the new Scorpio at an introductory price of Rs 9.97 lakh for the base variant S3 trim and goes up to Rs 16.01 lakh for the top-of-the-line 4WD S11 variant (Ex Showroom, Delhi). The new SUV gets some cosmetic updates to its exterior along with new features on the inside. The refreshed model now gets a power bump in its 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, only on the higher variants, which is now 138bhp with 320Nm of top torque, paired with a new 6-speed manual.

The S3 trim of the Scorpio comes with 2.5-litre diesel engine that generates 75bhp when connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It comes equipped with black grille inserts, an option of Seven-seat with side facing last row or nine-seat with side facing last row, engine start/stop, central locking, tilt adjust steering, vinyl upholstery, digital immobilizer, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning and 15inch steel wheels. The S5 version comes packed with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that develops 120 bhp of maximum power. In terms of features, it comes equipped with body coloured bumper and side cladding, follow-me home headlights, fabric upholstery, dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), speed sensing door locks, power outlets in the front and second rows and 17 inch steel wheels with wheel caps.

The Mahindra Scorpio S7 comes in two states of tune – 120bhp and 138bhp with 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, with 6-speed transmission for the higher tuned variant. It comes packed with features like 2-Din audio system with CD, USB and Aux-in, tweeters and speakers,  electrically adjusting ORVM, driver’s seat height adjust, front centre armrest, chrome-finished AC vents, silver-finished grille inserts, projector headlamps, puddle lamps, remote central locking, rear parking sensors, rear washer, wiper and defogger, rear spoiler and an option of seven-seat with side facing last row and eight-seat with front facing last row.

The top-of-the-line version S11 is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel unit that makes 138bhp of power and comes paired to a 6-speed manual transmission with 4WD. It is offered with host features such as automatic headlamps, chrome-finished grille inserts, Wing mirrors with indicators, auto-wipers and climate control, 6 inch touchscreen system with Bluetooth, CD, DVD, USB and Aux-in connectivity, steering mounted audio controls, reverse camera, type pressure monitoring system, GPS navigation in 10 languages, faux leather upholstery on steering and gear lever,  auto-up for the driver’s side window when the engine is turned off, an option of seven-seat with side facing last row, eight-seat with front facing last row and seven-seat with captain seats and 17 inch alloy wheels.
