Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the 2017 S-Cross face-lift in India. Reportedly, the facelift version is expected to make its launch in the 1st week of October, while media drives will start on September 26. The pre-booking of the model has started already from September 1, 2017. The S-Cross will get some updates on the exterior as well as to its interior.
The Maruti S-Cross facelift gets revised exterior styling elements that would include new bumpers, chrome grille, redesigned headlights and a new set of alloy wheels. Inside, we Interiors of the vehicle are expected to remain unchanged apart from the addition of a 7.0-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink support.
Unlike, the current version the S-Cross facelift may not get the 1.6-litre diesel engine and instead, the homegrown car manufacturer would introduce the model with a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 89bhp @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm. The powertrain will likely be coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. It is being rumoured that the Maruti Suzuki might add the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle from Suzuki) technology to the 1.3-litre unit, though there is no official confirmation regarding the same as of yet.
