Jaguar Land Rover India, the Indian arm of British luxury marquee, has launched the all-new Discovery at a starting price of Rs. 68.05 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Bookings for the fifth-generation Land Rover Discovery are now open at the company’s 25 authorised retailers in India and is also available for online booking at www.findmeasuv.in while deliveries would start in November 2017. Having made its world premiere at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the new Discovery SUV would be available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims.

The All-New Land Rover Discovery is the only vehicle they will ever need to fulfill all their desires & aspirations.” The new Land Rover Discovery would be available in five trim levels: S, SE, HSE, HSE Luxury and First Edition. As for features, it would get engine start/stop, hill descent control, hill start assist, emergency brake assist, parallel-park assist, ABS and traction control, sunroof, 10-inch infotainment screen, 6 or 10 or 14-speaker audio system depending on the variant, head-up display and 360-degree camera.
Mechanically, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery would be available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims. The petrol variants would be powered by a 3.0L Si6 engine which develops maximum power of 335bhp at 6500rpm and peak torque of 450Nm between 3500-5000rpm. The diesel variants would draw their power from a 3.0L TDV6 engine which would belt out top power of 255bhp at 3750rpm and highest torque of 600Nm at 2000rpm. Both the engines would be linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard, while the range-topping variants would also get a four-wheel drive system and Terrain Response 2. For those asking, Land Rover Discovery would have a water wading capacity of 900mm.
