Reportedly, some of the Skoda dealerships have started accepting bookings for the 2017 Octavia. Though, there is no official announcement made by the car manufacturer regarding the commencement of the bookings yet. Earlier, we informed that that Skoda is planning to launch the new Octavia in the country by the third quarter of this year.
The 2017 Skoda Octavia has also been spotted several times testing in India undisguised. The new model will come with a revised front fascia, featuring new split-section headlamps along with redesigned bumper and wide air dams. The higher variants are likely to come with full LED illumination headlamps. The side profile seems similar to that of the existing model, though the new Octavia might ride on the new set of alloy wheels. At the rear, the car will get some tweaks to its taillamps and bumpers. Inside, the changes are limited to a new 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and company's connect technologies and a new instrument cluster with an updated MID screen.
Under the bonnet, the 2017 Skoda Octavia will come with set of powertrains, as it is just a mid-life update. The Octavia facelift will be powered by a 1.4-litre TSI petrol with a 6-speed MT, 1.8 TSI petrol with a 7-speed DSG and 2.0 TDI diesel paired with a 6-speed AT.
Recently, Skoda India listed the Kodiaq SUV on its official website. Moreover, dealers across the country have started accepting the booking at a token amount of Rs 51,000.
