Skoda India has revealed the official brochure of the 2017 Octavia facelift ahead of its launch in the country. The new Skoda Octavia is expected to launch in the Indian market next month in July. The official brochure of the facelifted sedan reveals all the cosmetic updates, features, variants, dimensions and mechanical aspects. Skoda Octavia would lock horns with the likes of Hyundai Elantra, Volkswagen Jetta and Chevrolet Cruze in India.
As per the official brochure, 2017 Skoda Octavia would be introduced in three grades: Ambition, Style and Style+. Standard features on the sedan would be 16-inch alloy wheels, halogen headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamp cluster, front & rear fog lamps, electrically adjustable ORVMs with defogger, a touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, dual front and side airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, multi-collision braking and rear parking sensors. The mid-level Style trim would boast of adaptive LED headlamps, cornering fog lights, auto dimming mirrors (IRVM and ORVMs), front parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather upholstery, electrically foldable ORVMs, cruise control, front and rear curtain airbags and paddle shifters for the automatic variants.
Speaking of the flagship Style+ grade, it would host a plethora of exquisite features in form of 16-inch Alcatras alloys, 8 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, LED lighting with 10 programmable colours, driver fatigue alert system, hands-free parking, 12-way power adjustable driver seat with memory function and a panoramic sunroof with remote operation. Mechanically, the 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift would see no changes as it would continue to get power from the same set of 1.4L TSI petrol engine, 1.8L TSI petrol engine and 2.0L TDI diesel engine. The smaller 1.4L petrol motor would be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.8L petrol mill would be available with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. As for the 2.0L diesel powertrain, it would be linked to a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
