The 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift has been spotted testing near Aurangabad. It has been indicated in the earlier reports that the Czech carmaker will be launching the facelifted version of Octavia in India around mid-2017, though no official announcement has been made yet.
The new Skoda Octavia was unveiled globally in October last year while exhibiting the new look of the sedan. The spy shot discloses that the front look of the India-spec model will be similar to the global model.
The 2017 Skoda Octavia Facelift gets splitted headlights with wider radiator grille in the front. The front bumper has been revised with a larger air dam. The new Skoda Octavia is expected to be equipped with a new set of alloy wheels along with some minor tweaks to the tail-lamps and the rear bumper.
On the inside, the updated Octavia is expected to get a new instrument cluster with a MID screen and a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system options depending on the variant. The global model of the Octavia facelift features Columbus navigation system with 64GB flash memory and high-speed Internet connection.
The 2017 Octavia facelift will be available in 1.4-litre, 1.8-litre petrol engine variants and 2.0-litre diesel engine variant. The safety features in the new-gen Octavia include blind spot warning and emergency brake with pedestrian detection.
The Skoda Octavia facelift is expected to compete with the new generation Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla Altis and the Chevrolet Cruze. The 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift is expected to be priced between the range of Rs. 17 lakh to Rs. 23 lakh rupees.
