Skoda has finally launched the 2017 Octavia in the country at an introductory price of Rs 15.49 lakh (Ex showroom, Pan India). The new Skoda Octavia will pounce with premium C-segment sedans like the Toyota Corolla Altis and the Hyundai Elantra.gets a revised front fascia with piano black butterfly grille, wider front bumper, bigger air dams, sleeker fog lamps, full LED headlamps, which are fully adaptive and adjustable according to the conditions, 17 inch alloy wheels, while at the rear, the car gets a slightly revised bumper and LED taillamps.
Inside, the new Octavia comes with 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple’s CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity, LED ambient lighting of 10 colours, coloured MID screen on the dashboard cluster, Panoramic sunroof, hands-free parking and driver fatigue alert.

Mechanically, the 2017 Skoda Octavia continue to power with the same set of engines - a 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre TSI petrol and 2.0-litre Diesel unit. The 1.4-litre petrol engine is good to make 145bhp of maximum power and 250Nm of torque and will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.8-litre petrol unit can produce 178bhp and a peak torque of 250Nm, which will be coupled with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-litre diesel engine is capable to develop 141bhp with a peak torque of 320Nm and will come mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
