Toyota has taken off the wraps off the new Corolla Altis facelift, currently being sold in approximately 150 countries and regions around the world, Toyota Corolla accounts for around 20% of Toyota’s global sales. The face-lifted Corolla now gets a fresh and advanced exterior styling. Toyota has worked pretty well on the exterior styling, giving it a wider look from the front. Incorporating Toyota’s Under Priority and Keen Look design language, it features a sleek and stylish upper grille flanked by new LED headlamp clusters with new LED light guides, and a redesigned front bumper with a large lower grille. On the sides, the door handles get a chrome finishing with the enhanced character lines flowing from the front to the rear. Further, moving to the rear, the new Corolla adds greater styling with the new LED tail lamp clusters.
Mechanically, the India bound Corolla facelift will be powered by the same engine options including the 1.8-litre petrol and the 1.4-litre diesel. The engine Transmission will include a 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission options. The Corolla facelift will make its public debut soon in the following weeks.
The 2017 Corolla is available in a choice of 9 body colours, of which 3 are new - Platinum Bronze, Tokyo Red and Earth Bronze. In terms of safety, the updated model features a Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB). The 2017 Corolla model will touch the Indian shore, but only in the later part of 2017.
