Bajaj Auto India has officially announced the launch of 2018 Discover motorcycles on January 10, 2018 in the country. The all-new Bajaj Discover range would include a 110cc variant and the updated 125cc variant. Recently, the duo was spotted at a dealership and it is believed that this launch would breathe a new life into the ageing Discover brand. In addition, the company would also showcase the 2018 range of other models as well on the same day, which include the introduction of Dominar 400 in fresh colors.
Speaking of the 2018 Bajaj Discover 110, it is a new motorcycle with exterior styling identical to 125cc variant. It boasts of an analogue-digital instrument cluster as standard. As for the 2018 Discover 125, it would come with subtle updates in form of new graphics. Both the bikes would ride on newly-designed 17-inch black alloy wheels. It is also being learnt that the downtube cradle frame has gone for a toss in favour of a single downtube frame on both 110 cc and 125 cc versions of the Discover, while the telescopic front suspension and dual gas-charged rear shock absorbers have been retained on both the models. The Discover 110 would join the likes of Platina ComforTec and the CT100 in the 100-110cc segment.
Mechanically, the Discover 125 would be powered by the same 124.6 cc DTS-i engine which develops maximum power of 11bhp at 8000rpm and peak torque of 10.8Nm at 5000rpm. On the other hand, the Discover 110 would draw its power from a 110cc engine which would belt out 9bhp and 9Nm. Both the bikes would get a 5-speed gearbox, while having a top speed of 100kmph. The 2018 Discover 125 would lock horns with the likes of Honda Shine SP, Yamaha Saluto, and the 2018 Hero Super Splendor, while the Discover 110 would be at loggerheads with the TVS Victor and Hero Passion Pro. Bajaj is also expected to unveil the 2018 Avenger range on January 10, 2017 for the Indian market.
