Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the 2018 Pulsar 150 in the Indian market. The updated motorcycle is expected to hit the roads next week in the country but prior to the official launch, it has been spied in flesh. The spy image reveals that 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 150 would come with a plethora of cosmetic updates while retaining the mechanical aspects from the ongoing model. Recently, the company launched the 2018 models of Avenger 150, Avenger Street 180 and Avenger 220 in India.
Speaking of the spied mule of 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 150, it comes in a dual-tone colour scheme with blue and orange decals on the front fender and tank shroud. The bike boasts of a stepped seat and split grab handles. The alloy wheels, suspension, engine, crankcase and exhaust are finished in black color, while there is a silver heat shield on the exhaust muffler. The company has also updated the front forks and foot pegs. It is also being learnt that besides the front disc brake, the new Pulsar 150 would also come with rear disc brake. However, it is still unclear whether Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) will be offered as standard safety feature or not. For those asking, Bajaj Pulsar 150 would be at loggerheads with TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Honda X-Blade.
Talking about the engine specifications, the 2018 Pulsar 150 would be powered by the same 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine which would generate maximum power of 13bhp at 8000rpm and peak torque of 13.4Nm at 6000rpm. However, it still remains a mystery if Bajaj would retune this engine or offer it as it was in the existing motorcycle. The engine would be mated to a 5-speed transmission. The price is expected to be a bit higher than the current model, which is being retailed at Rs. 73,513 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
