The Ducati Hypermotard 950 motorcycle made its presence felt with a host of cosmetic and mechanical upgrades, as it was unveiled at the 2018 EICMA in Milan, Italy.

Following a good show by its cousins in the Ducati family – the 2019 Ducati Multistrada 950 S and Ducati Diavel 1260 – the Italian motorcycle manufacturer have now revealed the supermoto in two variants – the 2019 Hypermotard 950 standard and SP.

The Ducati Hypermotard 950 churns 114hp and 96Nm – an extra 4hp and 1Nm of torque. The 937cc, liquid-cooled, L-twin engine delivers peak torque at 3,000rpm by raising the compression ratio from 12.6:1 to 13.3:1. New upgrades include a 53mm throttle body, new injection control unit and exhaust valve timing.

Both the motorcycles get 6-speed gearboxes, while the Hypermotard 950 SP gets an addition of a bi-directional quickshifter – which is optional on the standard variant.

The new lighter Hypermotard will also come with a hydraulic clutch, narrower seat and flatter handlebar. Suspension duties will be carried out by Sachs monoshock and a fully-adjustable Marzocchi USD fork in the standard variant, while the Hypermotard 950 SP will get a fully-adjustable Ohlins unit on both the ends. Both trims will offer full-colour TFT displays.

A Brembo 4.32 monobloc front callipers and twin 320mm discs will perform the braking duties. The 2019 edition motorcycle will also come with a six-axis-IMU and Bosch Cornering ABS Evo with three settings. Ducati has upgraded the motorcycle with new a LED DRL, turn indicators and stop light. This time Ducati has re-introduced under seat twin exhausts.

As a cherry on the cake, in addition to the list of features on the Hypermotard 950 SP is the forged Marchesini wheels and the red and white shades. While the Indian market may see this motorcycle by 2019, Ducati is yet to announce the availability details and price globally.
