The upcoming version of the Ford EcoSport (2018) has been spied with any camouflage. The spotted car had a blue body colour and some contrasting black inserts in some portions and is believed to be in the new Titanium S variant.
The spied version of the 2018 Ford EcoSport had darkened large hexagonal front grille. The fog lamps were surrounded with blacked-out bezels. Other physical traits were roof rails, smoked alloy wheels and the same swept back headlamps. The spare wheel on the boot lid gets a new cover too. The turn indicators are installed on the ORVMs. Moreover, as per the image of the interiors, the car had a floating display on the dashboard that could get Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system.
The images show that the spied car had a TDCi badge on the rear section. This powerplant version is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine which can produce a maximum power of 100 bhp along with a peak torque of 205 Nm. However, these figures are from the current generation models and we are still unaware whether Ford will upgrade the engine or not. However, the new mode will be getting a new 1.5-litre TiVCT engine which would be producing a maximum power of 123 bhp along with a peak torque of 150 Nm. The transmission duties in this version will be done by a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox.
This new facelifted version of the Ford EcoSport is believed to be a mid-cycle upgrade. However, the most significant upgrade is the addition of the new Titanium S grade. The new version will be launched towards the festive season and may get a slight increase in its price over the outgoing model, which is currently priced at Rs. 7.31 lakhs exclusive showroom.
