Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2018 Activa 125 scooter at an introductory price of Rs 59,621 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The updated model comes with new features and color schemes, while featuring a handful of styling updates. The 2018 Honda Activa 125 is offered in three variants: Drum, Drum Alloy and Disc. The new model is nearly Rs 2000 more expensive than the previous model, owing to the new features. Most of the features have been borrowed from the Grazia scooter.

2018 Honda Activa 125 boasts of an LED headlight, four-in-one ignition, a new semi-digital instrument console, and a separate switch to open the seat as standard features. The instrument cluster gets an Eco Speed indicator and service due indicator. All the aforementioned features are available with the Grazia scooter as well. The Activa 125 rides on new grey alloy wheels while featuring a new chrome muffler cover. Though, it is offered only with the range-topping DLX disc brake variant. The new scooter is available in two additional matte paint schemes: matte crust metallic and matte selene silver metallic. The smartphone charger under the seat is retained from the previous model as optional feature.
Mechanically, the 2018 Honda Activa 125 is powered by the same 124.9cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine which generates top power of 8bhp and peak torque of 10.54Nm. The engine is linked to an automatic transmission. The front suspension comes with telescopic forks while the rear gets new 3-step adjustable mono-shock. The scooter gets drum brakes as standard, save for the top-end variant which features front disc as optional. The Combined braking system (CBS) comes as standard with the new Activa 125. The Scooter has several challengers in the Indian market in form of Suzuki Access 125, TVS Ntorq 125, Aprilia SR 125, Vespa VX and the yet-to-be-launched Suzuki Burgman Street.
