Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has started accepting orders for the 2018 Africa Twin in the country. With 360-degree value addition, 2018 Honda Africa Twin is priced attractively at Rs. 13.23 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi) in GP Red colour scheme. The bookings are open for first 50 units only and a few lucky customers also get a chance to witness their favourite riders live at MotoGP. Being firstly showcased at the Auto Expo 2018, the motorcycle would be available at Honda ‘Wing World’ dealerships across 22 cities in India.

Speaking on how 2018 Africa Twin revolutionises adventure motorcycling in India, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. There is nothing to hold back an enthusiast on the Africa Twin, as it’s the most reliable, versatile and proven adventure touring motorcycle. Lucky few customers will get a chance to witness their favourite riders live at MotoGP.” The 2018 Honda Africa Twin features Throttle by Wire (TBW) technology, while Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system also comes as standard with 7 levels.

Mechanically, it is powered by the 999.11cc parallel twin engine which develops top power of 88bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque of 93.1Nm at 6000rpm. The updated motorcycle retains Honda’s unique Dual Clutch Transmission technology with three modes of operation: D, S and MT. There are also 4 levels of Power and Engine Braking available in form of Tour, Urban, Gravel and User. The 2018 Honda Africa Twin boasts of increased functionality such as Rally style negative LCD instrument display including: Riding Modes, Speedometer, Tachometer, Fuel, Gear position, HSTC, Odometer, Trip Meter, Clock and ABS Indicator. The brakes (ABS) feature 310mm ‘wave’ style, twin floating front discs with Nissin 4-pot radial calipers, while rear disc is a 256mm ‘wave’ style with a 1-pot caliper.
