Honda has won many hearts and grabbed attention of many people at the Auto Expo 2018 with its second-generation Amaze compact sedan that comes with a completely restyled appearance compared to its predecessor. The second-generation Honda Amaze is all set to be launched in Indian market sometime in the financial year of 2018-19 and ahead of that, the Japanese brand has launched the dedicated microsite of the car.
While there were many cars on display at the recently concluded 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, Honda Amaze certainly stood out from the crowd with its unique styling and restyled features. Compared to the first generation model currently selling in India the second-gen model comes with a brand-new flat front fascia with freshly styled headlamps with L-shaped LED daytime running lights. There is a thick new horizontal chrome bar and a revised bumper as well.
So far, it appears the new Amaze has taken inspiration from the current Honda City. At the side profile too, the compact sedan has become more sculpted looking. It boasts new alloy wheels, revised character lines and updated black glass area. At the back too, this sedan features shark-fin antenna, new C shaped taillights, a lip spoiler and an updated bumper. So far, the car looks very stylish and appealing from every angle.
Not only exterior, inside the cabin also, new Honda Amaze has become much more stylish compared to its predecessor. It dons a dual-tone black and beige paint scheme and there are new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a large instrument panel with analog and digital display and a large touchscreen infotainment system at centre console with ergonomic positioning. Space and comfort on offer are of top notch quality.
Engine and transmission details of the upcoming second-generation Honda Amaze is yet to be revealed, but we can expect the car to retain same set of powertrain as its predecessor. In that case, it will get a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel motor. There are several advanced safety features in this car to ensure enhanced protection for the occupants. Expect it to be priced competitively against its tough rivals in the compact sedan segment.
