Earlier, we informed you that bookings for the new-generation Honda Amaze would start from tomorrow across the authorized dealerships at a booking amount of Rs. 21,000, while the new model will make its launch in the month of May. Customers who are planning to book the new Amaze can expect the deliveries to commence by the end of may. Honda showcased the new-gen sedan at the 2018 Auto Expo in February alongside the likes of all-new CR-V and Civic sedan.
Speaking of the exterior, the new-gen Honda Amaze gets a more prominent nose, borrowing its design cues from the City sedan. The top-of-the-line variants of the Amaze is expected to ride on a set of ten-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the new model would come with a dual-tone upholstery which has been retained from the existing model, while an updated touchscreen infotainment system is expected make position at the centre console on the dashboard. The sedan would get enhanced legroom for the rear seat occupants and will be more spacious than the current model.

Under the bonnet, the 2018 Honda Amaze would get the same set of powertrains as seen on the ongoing model. The petrol variants would get a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine that makes 88bhp of maximum power, while the diesel variants would come powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder i-DTEC engine that belts out 99bhpof power. The petrol version would be available with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, along with an option of CVT gearbox, while for the firs time, the diesel variant would be available with a CVT gearbox as optional along with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The new-gen Amaze will compete with the likes of Maruti DZire, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Tigor, Volkswagen Ameo and Ford Aspire.
