Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has commenced the bookings for the all-new 2018 Gold Wing in the country. Being priced at Rs. 26.85 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi), it can be booked only at Honda’s exclusive Wing World sales & service outlets in Delhi (C-126, Industrial Area Phase - I, Naraina) and Mumbai (H-Kantilal & Co. Compound, Sakinaka, Andheri-East). Deliveries for the 2018 Honda Gold Wing will begin this New Year 2018 on first come first serve basis and from what we've learnt, it even gets a 360 degree value boost.

Elaborating how the new 2018 Gold Wing defines the Gold standards of touring, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The 2018 Gold Wing was first showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show in November’17 and delighting our customers in India, Honda is today starting the bookings for this legend. The new generation Gold Wing gets a 7-speed DCT, revolutionary suspension setup, Apple CarPlay, HSTC and a brand new engine, making it a true rider’s motorcycle. The best ever Gold Wing with all these new features is a complete generation leap and yet comes with an unmatched price.”\

2018 Honda Gold Wing boasts of the third generation DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission), which is the best DCT Honda has ever developed, and the first with seven speeds. Even better, this DCT offers a special low-speed “Walking” mode in addition to reverse. Honda’s flagship touring icon comes with several striking features such as Cruise control via Throttle By Wire (TBW), Electric windscreen adjustable for angle and height, Apple CarPlay Integration, 7-inch TFT colour display, Full LED lighting and auto-cancelling indicators and New Smart key control adds convenience for ignition and luggage. Customers can choose between the 2 variants - Gold Wing and Gold wing Tour in the new glossy Candy Ardent Red colour.

Being based on a die-cast aluminium twin beam frame, which is stiffer and lighter by 2kg, Honda Gold Wing gets new double wishbone front suspension - a global first for Honda. It is powered by a 1,833cc four valves per cylinder engine which develops top power of 125bhp at 5,500rpm and peak torque of 170Nm at 4,500rpm. The newly introduced Throttle By Wire (TBW) adds 4 rider modes in form of TOUR, SPORT, ECON and RAIN. The rider modes manage HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control), suspension damping for heightened rider control. Additionally, brake force Idling Stop and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) are there as standard alongside ABS and Dual-Combined Braking System (D-CBS). The inclusion of a new Hill Start Assist adds ease of use.
