Honda is setting its hands to launch the facelift version of its premium hatchback, Jazz in India, this month. The Jazz facelift made its first appearance at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show. The new model gets will not only get an updated exterior, but would also get some feature add-on to the list as well. The new version will pounce with main rivals – the new Hyundai i20 and the Maruti Baleno.
Exterior wise, the 2018 Honda Jazz will get a new front bumper with larger air dam intake, a revised front grille, slight design changes to the fog lamp housing. Going to the rear-side, the model gets some styling tweaks along with a mellow redesign to its LED tail-lamps. The 2018 Honda Jazz will on a new set of alloy wheels that will be quite similar, as seen on the all-new amaze. That apart, the range-topping variant could flaunt black alloy wheels for better sporty appearance. In terms of features, it will come packed with an updated infotainment system (same as seen on the Honda City) and automatic headlamps.
Mechanically, the 2018 Jazz would be available with the same set of powertrains - a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol unit that makes 89bhp with 110Nm and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that develops 99bhp of maximum power and 200Nm of top torque. Don’t expect the new Jazz to get a diesel-CVT combination, as offered with the Amaze, it will make the variant out of range in its segment.
