Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the updated Navi in India at a price tag of Rs 44,775 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated version of the moto-scooter comes with minor cosmetic upgrades like body coloured headlamp cover, rear view mirrors and rear grab rail. Also, two new colour options have been introduced as well, taking the total number to six. The new colour options are Range Green and Ladakh Brown.
The 2018 Honda Navi also features new fuel gauge and metal muffler protector. The red coloured cushion spring adds sportiness to the model. Like the 2016 model, the updated version too comes offering the buyers customisation options thanks to the wide range of accessories. Mechanically, it remains same as the engine is the same 109 c single-cylinder, air-cooled unit borrowed from Honda Activa. This engine pumps out 8 bhp of peak power at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.
Launched in 2016, the Honda Navi comes as the first product designed by the Honda R&D India. It garnered pretty good attention from the buyers. However, the sales performance didn’t reflect the enthusiasm, but the updated model is likely to experience a sales boost. The Japanese two-wheeler brand not only sells this product in India, but exports to Latin American markets as well.
Based on the same chassis as the Honda Activa, the Honda Navi comes with a sporty design that has characteristics of both a motorcycle and a scooter. It looks sporty and urban. Clearly Honda has designed it keeping the young urban buyers in focus.
