Hyundai recently launched the much-awaited i20 facelift at the 14th Auto Expo in Greater Noida amid much pomp and show. The Korean carmaker is now readying to bring the facelifted Creta sometime this year. Reports in media suggest that Hyundai Creta will receive a mid-life facelift by mid-2018. Moreover, the facelifted Creta was spied recently undergoing test runs, though the model was covered, only a few details have been revealed.

In terms of styling, expect it to get minor changes with a large cascading radiator grille, redesigned fog lamps, new bumpers, etc. Among other exterior changes, the SUV is likely to feature new 17-inch alloy wheels and restyled taillamps. Hyundai could also add new exterior colour options to the facelifted Creta

While tweaks on the inside are expected to be subtle with new trims and upholstery giving a refreshed look to the interiors. Hyundai could also update the MID and the infotainment system for improved functionality.

As for the engine set-up, the Hyundai Creta facelift is likely to remain unchanged. That said, the current model comes with a 123bhp, 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol engine along with a 90bhp 1.4-litre CRDi oil burner and a 128bhp, 1.6-litre CRDi diesel unit. All these engines come linked to a six-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed auto box, which can be had with the 1.6-litre diesel and petrol engines. Sadly, the AWD system is not available in the Indian market. While rumours are rife that Hyundai could launch the Creta facelift by mid-2018, Hyundai is still tight-lipped about the timeline for the launch.
