After revealing a slew of models at the Auto Expo 2018, the Korean auto giant, Kia is now readying for the 2018 Geneva motor Show, slated to begin in March this year. One of the prominent models to be unveiled at the motoring event will be the Ceed hatchback. In addition, Kia is also expected to reveal another hatchback, details on which are yet under the wraps.

As for Ceed, Kia will offer it in five-door, estate and shooting brake versions. Of all the forms, the estate version will be released by March, however the shooting brake version is expected to be rolled out early next year and will reportedly be revealed later this year.

Ahead of its official unveiling at the Geneva, Kia has released an image of the Ceed hatchback, giving inkling of the design and styling. The aggressively styled front features a small chrome treated grille and sleek, pulled-back headlamps. At the side, there is a prominent window line, which tapers towards the rear. The spy images of the next-gen Ceed give an insight on the evolved design tenet, to be used in the production version.

It also throws light on the new dashboard design, layered with a centrally mounted infotainment system. On the mechanical front, the new Ceed hatchback is expected to ditch the current turbocharged four-cylinder units for new set of engines. In addition, Kia will reportedly use its latest 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine used in other models including Rio and Picanto.
