As the Mahindra Marazzo launch date is inching closer more details are emerging on the premium MPV which is set for its grand launch on September 3, 2018. Reports are rife that Mahindra Marazzo will be available in four variants-M2, M4, M6 and the top-spec M8. The MPV will be launched with a single 128 bhp, 1.5-litre four-cylinder oil burner at the time of launch. A six-speed manual unit will be standard, whereas an auto box could be introduced at a later stage. As for its standard safety kit it will comprise of dual front airbags, a passenger airbag off-switch, a speed-sensitive door lock/unlock feature, ABS with EBD and brake assist along with ISOFIX child seat mounts.
The competitively priced entry-level M2 variant is expected to offer engine immobilizer and central locking along with the aforementioned features. It will equip manually adjustable wing mirrors and 16-inch steel wheels on the outside, while the interior will come layered with power windows, fabric seat upholstery, 12V power outlet, USB charging point for the front rear passenger, digital clock, manual HVAC control and roof mounted rear AC vents. The M4 variant on the other hand will additionally receive full wheel caps, shark fin antenna, rear wiper & washer and power-adjusting wing mirrors. Comfort bits such as driver’s seat height adjuster, USB socket for front row, USB and AUX for rear passenger and voice messaging system will also be offered with the M4 grade.
While 16-inch alloy wheels, front & rear fog lamps, projector headlamps with follow me home feature and cornering lamps will be available from M6 on wards. It will also get additional goodies like premium fabric upholstery, adjustable lumbar support for front seats, remote keyless entry, conversation mirror, centre console with tambor door, a 7-inch infotainment system with navigation, emergency call feature, personal reminder, steering mounted controls for audio & other functions and rear parking sensors.
While the fully-loaded top-spec M8 variant will come fitted with 17-inch machined alloy wheels, LED DRLs, puddle lamps, power folding & adjusting ORVMs, leatherette seating upholstery, dual USB sockets for front and rear passengers and cooled glovebox with illumination. Other features such as cruise control, reverse camera with display, automatic climate control and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be restricted to the M8 variant. While bookings for the MPV have already started for a sum of Rs 10,000 at most of the dealerships in the country, the company has also started dispatching initial stock and demo vehicles.
