New details have surfaced on the upcoming 2018 Maruti Ciaz just before its official launch on 20th August, 2018. An image of the car’s dealer order guide has been leaked online which shows the new Ciaz will be offered in 11 configurations and 7 metallic colour options. Changes on the 2018 Maruti Ciaz will be confined to cosmetic tweaks and feature update. The front end looks sportier with the addition of new elements such as LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, new radiator grille, a redesigned bumper, reworked air intakes and the new C-shaped front bumper garnish. These changes altogether accentuate the sporty look. In addition to the aforementioned changes, the 2018 Maruti Ciaz also features a new chrome hood applique, new alloy wheels at the side and LED rear combination lamp at the back.
As for the 2018 Maruti Ciaz interior, it does not see much change save for a lighter faux wood trim, redesigned instrument cluster with a colour MID on the styling front. It also gets adjustable headrests at the back, a cruise control for better drive assistance and Suzuki Connect Mobile App that performs several functions such as tracking the vehicle, analyse driving behaviour, share vehicle location, check live update status and get service due reminder.
Mechanically, the new Ciaz will be available with two engine options including an all new K15B 1.5-litre petrol engine and the D13A 1.3-litre oil burner. In terms of power, the new 1.5-litre petrol unit will put out 104.7 bhp against 138 Nm torque. These engine will benefit from Suzuki’s mild-hybrid technology resulting in slight improvement in the fuel economy. That said, the petrol manual version is estimated to return 21.56 km/l as against the claimed 20.38 km/l by its auto version. Interested buyers can pre-book the new Ciaz at an authorized dealership for a sum of Rs 11,000.
