Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the Ciaz facelift in India sometime in early August, 2018. Ahead of its launch, the midsize sedan has been spied again without any camouflage, giving us a clear view. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift comes with a significantly restyled design and new features. So far, the facelift version of the midsize sedan appears more appealing compared to the current model.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift gets a completely redesigned front fascia thanks to the new headlamps with LED daytime running lights, new larger and curvy front grille, revised bumper and tweaked fog lamp housings. Moving to side profile, the car appears similar to the current model. However, we might see new design alloy wheels being introduced to the facelift model. At the back, the sedan gets restyled taillights with new LED inserts adding zing to the car.
Not only the exterior, cabin of the sedan too has equally become visually appealing. It gets a refreshed dashboard with a new touchscreen infotainment system. Apart from that, the cabin looks almost similar to the current model’s cabin. However, seats and upholstery materials will come revised offering a more attractive vibe.
On the powertrain front, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift gets a big change as it will come with a new bigger and better 1.5-litre petrol engine developed by the Maruti Suzuki engineers. This engine will replace the current 1.4-litre petrol motor. On the diesel front, the sedan will continue with 1.3-litre DDiS motor combined with SHVS technology. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic unit.
