Maruti Suzuki has scheduled the launch of the second generation Ertiga on November 21 in the country. Nonetheless, there are few dealers who have even started accepting bookings. The homegrown automaker has started the production of the new Ertiga MPV. Based on the Heartect platform that also underpins the new Swift and Baleno, the new model will get many changes to its exterior as well interior and not to forget, the new petrol engine.
Speaking of the exterior, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets a whole new styling with its sleek headlamps stretched to the front fenders, and front grille, while at the rear it gets boomerang-like LED taillamps. As we mentioned before, the car is based on Heartect platform, so we can expect it to be lighter and stiffer compared to its predecessor. Inside, the cabin of the new Ertiga will come with a touchscreen infotainment system and a new instrument cluster with a large MID. Maruti would offer dual front airbags and parking sensors as standard across the model lineup, whereas the range-topping version can be expected to come with automatic climate control system and reverse camera.
