Maruti Suzuki has officially started the pre-bookings for the 2018 Ertiga MPV at a token amount of Rs 11,000 and will be sold through Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships in the country. The all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been spotted at a dealership in clear images inside-out. The model had its world premiere at the 2018 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). The new MPV will be offered in four grades in both petrol and diesel guise - Lxi/Ldi (base variant), Vxi/Vdi, Zxi/Zdi and the top-spec Zxi+/Zdi+.
The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is based on 5th Generation HEARTECT platform, so expect to have an enhanced safety along with NVH performance. The exterior of the MPV boasts of new LED headlamps and daytime running lights and LED fog lamps placed on the front bumper, just like the ones on the new Ciaz. The rear too gets a whole new makeover with the boomerang tail lamps along with chrome strip running through the lights and LED elements in it.

The range-topping variant of the seven-seater MPV would get 15-inch alloy wheels. Dimensionally, the car measures 4390mm in length, 1735mm in width and stands 1690mm tall with a wheelbase of 2740mm.
On the inside, the MPV gets a new layout with the newly designed dashboard and use of wood inlays on the dash as well as door panels, as seen on the Ciaz sedan. In terms of features, it will come equipped with the anti-lock braking system and electronic brake-force distribution, and dual airbags as standard features across all variants, while the higher variant would also get a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
Under the bonnet, the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV would be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel option. The petrol version will come with the 1.5-litre K15 engine which was first introduced with the2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift. The engine makes 105bhp of maximum power with 138Nm of peak torque, when connected to either a 5-speed manual transmission, which will be offered as standard or a 4-speed torque converter automatic that would be available on higher variants - Vxi and Zxi trims. The diesel variants would come with the same tried and trusted 1.3-litre DDiS 200 engine and will come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox only and both petrol and diesel variants would come company’s mild hybrid technology.
The new Maruti Ertiga would be available in five colour options - Pearl Metallic Auburn Red (New), Pearl Metallic Oxford Blue, Metallic Magma Grey, Metallic Silky Silver and Pearl Arctic White.
