Maserati has announced prices of its first SUV, Levante, which is available in three variants. The base variant is being offered at a price point of Rs 1.45 crore, opposed to the top-spec GranLusson trim, which is available for Rs 1.54 crore. Slotted between these two is the GranSport variant which is tagged at Rs 1.49 crore (all prices ex-showroom, India).
Measuring a little over 5 meters in length, it sits on a long wheelbase, gauging slightly more than 3-meters and over 2 meters in width. Maserati’s first SUV, Levante gets 19-inch alloy wheels that come wrapped around the chunky 265/50 profile tyres. Customers can also opt for larger tyres for a meatier look. Moreover, it comes with electronically controlled air-suspension on all four corners, which offers five-ride modes.The SUV offers a ground clearance on 207mm in standard settings, which can further be raised by 40mm to 247mm for off-roading or can be lowered to 162mm in parking mode.
Power on Maserati’s first SUV is derived from the 3.0-litre, V6 turbo-diesel engine with maximum power of 275bhp at 4,000rpm and 600Nm of top torque between 2,000rpm to 2,600rpm. Feeding power to the wheels is an eight-speed torque converter automatic gearbox supported by a 4x4 drivetrain. As for the performance, Levante attains triple-digit speeds from standstill in less than 7 seconds and hits a top speed of 230km/h.
The interior of the Levante SUV is enveloped in a dual-tone black and rose-red theme. Customers also get to choose from a variety of wood inlays and leather grains under bespoke options. Interestingly, customers also get an option of silk inlays by Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna. Among the in-cabin techs, the most prominent feature is the large 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and satellite navigation. Additionally, customers can also opt for a 1280-watts, sound system with 17-speakers, sourced from Bowers & Wilkins. The long equipment list also includes a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, and 360-degree cameras.
