Mercedes-Benz launched the new AMG G63 at a sticker price of Rs 2.19 crore in India. The car gets some tweaks to its chassis, making it lighter, longer, wider and even taller that the outgoing model. There is no rival to this model as of now. The model has been under the company’s umbrella for around 40 years and has been rugged touch to its elegance.
Speaking of the exterior, the new version retains the same boxy design, and boasts some newly added techs. The car features include LED headlamps, new designed radiator grille, flared wheel arches for the larger standard 21 inch alloys and side-mounted exhaust. Dimensionally, the new AMG G63 is now 53mm longer in overall length, 64mm wider and sits 15mm taller than the previous model. Inside, the car will welcome you with a newly designed dash with company’s Widescreen Cockpit with digital instruments, moreover, the car also gets two 12.3 inch displays as standard. With the tweaks to its chassis, the cabin now gets more legroom and shoulder room.

Under the bonnet, the new Mercedes G63 is power packed with a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that cranks out a whopping 577bhp of maximum power with 850Nm of peak torque and also gets an all-wheel-drive system. It can bolt from 0 to 100kmph in a mere 4.5 seconds. The new Gelandewagen is now much lighter than the outgoing version by 174 kilograms. The transmission duties will be carried out by the same 9-speed dual clutch unit as in the E63 S.
