Land Rover seems to be gearing up to launch the 2018 Range Rover luxury SUV in India in near future as the car has been spied testing in Mumbai. Unveiled at the 2017 Los Angeles Motor Show, the 2018 Range Rover sports several significant design updates, while the cabin of the car has also received a couple of new and advanced features.
Speaking of the design updates, the 2018 Range Rover boasts a restyled front grille, while the front bumper too appears with revamped appearance. The headlamps have become sharper and they now get new integrated LED daytime running lights. Apart from that, it also comes with 10-spoke silver finish alloy wheels, vertically stacked twin-pod LED taillights and rectangular twin exhausts. There is an integrated roof spoiler as well adding more style to the luxury SUV.
Inside the cabin of the 2018 Range Rover, there is a new Touch Pro duo infotainment system borrowed directly from the Range Rover Velar. This infotainment system includes twin 10-inch touchscreens that replace the conventional buttons and dials at the centre console. This super touch-sensitive control panels certainly add more premiumness to the SUV. The 2018 Range Rover also features heated armrests for the front seat occupants and there is a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot facility supporting up to 8 devices.
The British luxury car manufacturer offers the current Range Rover with wide range of engine options. The 2018 Range Rover gets a powerful P400e plug-in hybrid powertrain that includes a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, and an electric motor. This eco-friendly petrol-hybrid powertrain pumps out 410 bhp of peak power. However, it is not clear if the British brand will introduce this engine in the India-spec model or not.
