2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado launched at Rs 92.60 lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited (TKM) has silently launched the 2018 Land Cruiser Prado luxury SUV in India at a sticker price of Rs 92.60 lakh (Ex Showroom, Delhi). The SUV made its Indian debut at the 2018 Auto Expo and was first unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will be offered in a single VxL variant.

The new Toyota Prado gets a redesigned bonnet, grille, fender, projector headlamps and LED tail-lamps. Apart from that, it also gets revised front and rear bumper. Inside, the car gets an updated dashboard along with a new 8 inch infotainment screen with panoramic view and a 4.2-inch MID unit in the instrument cluster.  In terms of features, it comes with a tri-zone climate control, park assist, heated and ventilated seats, cruise control, 9 speaker audio system, seven airbags, Adaptive Variable Suspension, multi-terrain ABS with EBD, Active Headrest, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start and Down Hill Assist.

Mechanically, the Land Cruiser Prado will be available with the same 3.0-litre diesel engine as seen on the outgoing model that produces 170bhp of maximum power with 410Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed automatic gearbox and transmits power all four wheels. The four-wheel-drive system gets three driving modes – comfort, normal and sport.  Just like the outgoing model, the new Prado will continue to come as a fully imported unit in India.
