Volvo has uncovered the all-new V60 Estate ahead of its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March. The luxury estate is unlikely to make its way to Indian market, but it previews the India-bound third generation S60 sedan. Just like the previous model, the third generation S60 luxury sedan will follow the same design language as the V60 new Estate.
The new S60 sedan is expected to be revealed later this year and it will come carrying same front grille as the V60 estate and the other contemporary models from the brand. Also, this sedan will feature Volvo’s well acclaimed Thor’s Hammer LED headlamp. We can also say that the third generation Volvo S60 luxury sedan will arrive with design inspiration from the current S90 sedan that has grabbed pretty good attention in Indian market.
Not only exterior, but inside the cabin as well, third generation Volvo S60 sedan will arrive featuring loads of similarities to the new Geneva-bound V60 estate. It will have a new steering wheel, a large touchscreen infotainment system at the centre console that will come with ergonomic tilted positioning. Apart from that, the seats and upholstery too will come wearing upmarket quality materials. So far, the new generation S60 will come with a much more stylish and appealing look inside out compared to the second generation model that is currently available in India.
Volvo is attempting to catch a greater market share in the domestic market with the help of refreshed models. In the recent years, the Swedish brand has seen impressive success and now it wants to continue that momentum. In order to achieve that, S60 could come playing a crucial role for the auto major. We can expect the third generation Volvo S60 luxury sedan to reach the Indian shores sometime in 2019 or in 2020.
