Recently, Ford India launched the facelift version of its flagship SUV – Endeavour, and now the brand is planning to launch the 2019 Ford Figo facelift that will make its launch on March 15. Spy shots have been surfacing online from quite some while and now we have the official image of the model. The car gets some minor changes to its exterior and will also get subtle changes on the inside as well. The car will be available in three trim levels – Ambiente, Titanium and top-of-the-line Titanium BLU variant.
Exterior wise the design is still the same but get some minor tweaks to look more revealing than the outgoing model. The Ford Figo 2019 gets redesigned front and rear bumpers, which seems similar to the refreshed Euro-spec model named as Ka+; chrome honeycomb grille, blacked-out headlamps and 15-inch alloy wheels. Apart from that, for a sportier feel, it will also get a dual-tone version on the range-topping version - Titanium BLU.
On the inside, the car also gets few changes to the dashboard (likely to be similar to the Aspire compact sedan). In terms of equipment, expect the new Ford Figo to be packed up nicely with features like auto headlamps, push-button start/stop, keyless entry, rain sensing wipers and a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and navigation feature. The new Figo will come in-line with Government’s safety norms, to come in effect from July 1, 2019, and will feature ABS, seatbelt reminders, rear parking sensors and a speed-alert system as standard, while the Ford Figo Titanium BLU will boast of six airbags.
Speaking of the engine specification, the new Ford Figo will witness major changes on this part. The 2019 Ford Figo facelift will get the company’s new 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 95 bhp of power when mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, while the automatic variant will be offered on the bigger 1.5-litre engine that develops 121 bhp of power. The diesel variant will get the same tried and tested 1.5-litre unit that makes 99bhp of maximum power and will come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
In India, the 2019 Ford Figo facelift will stand against the Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Tiago and Volkswagen Polo and is expected to be offered with competitive tagging. In the meantime, Ford has already started accepting the booking of the model.
