2019 Hyundai Creta Prices Revealed

Korean automaker, Hyundai has updated two of its top-selling models - Elite i20 and Creta SUV for the Indian market. Both models will soon receive new competitors in the market. While Maruti will soon introduce the updated Baleno hatchback, Nissan will introduce the Kicks SUV. The company has updated the popular Creta SUV with more features and added a new range-topping SX (O) Executive trim. The 2019 Hyundai Creta is now priced at Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the base petrol model, which is around Rs 10,000 more than the 2018 Creta model.

The E+ trim prices remain unchanged at Rs 9.99 lakh for both the diesel and petrol variants. The S trim, which is available in diesel version only, is now priced at Rs 11.88 lakh for manual and Rs 13.35 lakh for the automatic variant. The E+ diesel and the S-diesel versions are only available with the 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel engie. The S diesel automatic and other variants are powered by a larger capacity 1.6-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine.

The 2019 Hyundai Creta SX and variants positioned above are now equipped with LED tail-lamps. The SX variant is now priced at Rs 12.23 lakh for the petrol manual and Rs 13.57 lakh for the diesel manual. These variants are now cost Rs 18,000 more than the 2018 Creta. The SX(O) petrol and diesel variants are now priced at Rs 13.85 lakh and Rs 15.34 lakh respectively. The newly added range-topping SX (O) Executive variant is equipped with ventilated front seats. This model is priced at Rs 14.13 lakh and Rs 15.62 lakh for petrol and diesel respectively, which makes it around 30,000 more than the SX(O) variant. All the prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai.

The 2019 Hyundai Creta now comes with additional safety kit as standard. It now gets rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder and a speed alert system as standard across all variants. The 2019 Hyundai Creta is available in 3 engine options - a 1.6-litre petrol, a 1.4L diesel and a 1.6L CRDi diesel. The petrol engine is capable of producing 121bhp of power and 151Nm of torque. While the 1.4L diesel engine produces 89bhp of power and 220Nm of torque, the bigger capacity engine churns out 126bhp of maximum power and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Hyundai has also started working on the next-gen Creta SUV, which is scheduled to be launched in 2020. The upcoming model will arrive in 2 seating layouts - 5 and 7. Adding to it, the SUV will also receive new turbocharged BSVI compliant petrol and diesel engines.
