Isuzu Motor India has launched the 2019 D-Max V-Cross facelift at a starting price of Rs 15.51 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Mumbai) in the country. The updated pick-up truck gets 20 new features while the prices have remained as the ongoing model. With pre-bookings opened across all the authorized dealerships in India, it is offered in two variants: Standard and High-Grade Z. 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift is available in two new colour options – Sapphire Blue and Silky Pearl White apart from Ruby Red, Titanium Silver, Obsidian Grey, Cosmic Black and Splash White.
The 2019 D-Max V-Cross exterior styling takes cues from ‘Cyborg Orca’ with a sporty front grille and Bi-LED headlamps. The front fascia flaunts sharp lines and fog lamps with chrome bezel. The pick-up rides on 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels while roof-rails, blackened B-Pillar and a new shark-fin antenna make it even more sportier. The company has added a newly designed side-step to enhance convenience. The rear end boasts of redesigned chrome bumper and a LED tail-lamp cluster. The cabin features an all-black theme with newly contoured seats. The instrument cluster houses new 3D Design Electroluminescent Meter and Gear Shift Indicator while perforated leather seats are also on offer in the Z variant.
Some of the salient features of the 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift are second row USB charging ports, steering mounted audio control and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with USB input, DVD, AUX, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity. A special mention goes to the first-in-segment Passive Entry & Start Stop System (PESS) which enables the driver to start and stop the engine at the press of a button. Being based on the iGRIP platform, the pick-up gets a plethora of safety features such as seat-belt with pre-tensioner & load limiter, speed sensitive auto door lock, co-driver seat belt reminder, HSA (Hill Start Assist) and HDC (Hill Descent Control) as standard.
Mechanically, it is powered by the BS IV compliant Common Rail Fuel Injection diesel engine which belts out top power of 134bhp and peak torque of 320Nm between 1800-2800rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual tranmission which transmits the power to all the four wheels via the 4WD (shift-on-fly) system. Being firstly launched in 2016, Isuzu D-Max V-Cross carved a niche in the utility vehicle segment in the Indian market. It is also sold in overseas markets like Europe, Australia, Thailand and South America. The high ride suspension, higher ground clearance and wider track make it a capable vehicle for long road trips, adventure trips, vacations etc. The pick-up is developed at company's facility at SriCity, Andhra Pradesh.
