KTM seems to be on a roll and serious about upping the ante in the global market. In a surprise turn of events, what seems to be an all-new, bigger and bulkier version of the KTM RC 390 was spotted testing, according to MCN. The new 2019 RC 390 looks bigger and also boasts of the updates as on the KTM 390 Duke.
Expected in 2019, the new KTM motorcycle will sport a radical transformation in its design as compared to its current counterpart. The overall dimensions of the bike seem to be increased. The new RC 390 looks bigger and the front fairing is looking muscular, along with a new wind deflector, all LED headlight, bigger fuel tank and larger front fairing.
Also, apart from the new design, the new KTM RC 390 will also get 390 Duke styled full-colour TFT unit as the instrument panel. It will be compatible with your smartphone via Bluetooth and will offer the same functionalities as offered by the 390 Duke’s system.
Moreover, the new 2019 KTM RC 390 is also expected to get new WP suspension, which will help deliver an even better ride and handling. Engine too is expected to be updated to deliver more performance. Current RC 390 delivers about 43 hp and 36 Nm. The updated engine will also be BS6 compliant.
The new RC 390 will also be made in India at the Bajaj-KTM plant in Pune. And the new KTM bike could be costlier than the current RC 390 by about 20-25k. It will be pitted against the KawasakiNinja 400 and the new YamahaYZF R3.
