Mahindra has finally launched the baby XUV version – the XUV300 compact SUV in India. Mahindra XUV300 price in India starts from Rs 7.90 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 8.49 lakh for the diesel variant (all prices, ex-showroom, India). The new XUV300 is being offered with the choice of two engines – 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 110 bhp of power with 200 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that develops 115 bhp with 300 Nm of top torque. Initially, Mahindra is offering a 6-speed manual gearbox on both petrol and diesel versions and the brand also confirmed that the AMT version of the model is still in the works, so we can expect it launch at later stages.
The new Mahindra XUV300 Compact SUV is offered in three trim levels on both petrol and diesel variant – W4, W6, and W8, and you can also add an optional package to the top-end W8 variant at Rs 1.19 lakh. Before we start with any new detailing of the new model, the easy way out is to know, “which variant gets what?” that means we have explained features variant wise.

The Mahindra XUV300 W4 base variant comes packed with LED taillamps, 4 speaker audio system compatible with Aux, Bluetooth and USB (offered on diesel variant only), electrically adjustable ORVMs, electric tailgate opening, steering mode, gear 16-inch steel rims, Isofix child seat mount, smartphone connectivity (diesel only), ABS with EBD, dual front airbags with passenger’s side deactivation switch, corner braking control, speed sensing door lock, all four disc brakes, driver’s side seatbelt reminder, impact sensing door lock, panic braking signal, all four power windows, 60:40 split rear row, tyre position display and front armrest with storage space.

The XUV300 W6 variant gets some added features from the W4 base version along with Steering mounted controls for audio, 4 speakers, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with USB, Aux-in, Bluetooth and Navigation, remote key, Bluesense App, Roof rails, follow-me-home headlights, rear spoiler with stop light on it, wheel caps and remote locking.

Petrol Variant - Rs 10.25 lakh
Diesel Variant – Rs 10.80 lakh
The new Mahindra XUV300’s W8 comes packed with some feature from the W6 as well along with other features such as automatic projector headlamps along with rain-sensing wipers, electrically foldable outside rear view mirrors, LED daytime running lights, front and rear fog lamps, faux skid plates at the front and rear, rear wiper along with washer, 17-inch alloys, adjustable driver’s side seat height, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, voice command and SMS display, two USB connectivity, two tweeters, 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient mood lighting, leather-wrapped steering wheel as well as gear knob, centre armrest at the rear row, ESP with rollover mitigation feature and hill hold assist, micro-hybrid technology, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, reverse parking camera and keyless entry.

Apart from the features listed on the W8 variant, the Mahindra XUV300 W8 (O) version also gets some segment-first seven airbags (Knee, curtain and side airbags), seat belt reminders for second row, front parking sensor along with other features like middle rear seat three-point seat belt, leatherette seats, heated ORVMs, TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system), auto-dimming inside rearview mirrors, electric sunroof and the car rides on 17 inch diamond cut alloys.
