Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2019 Ignis at an introductory price of Rs 4.79 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The micro-SUV comes in a total of 7 variants: Sigma, Delta, Delta AGS, Zeta, Zeta AGS, Alpha and Alpha AGS. The 2019 Maruti Ignis now comes with new safety features and a handful of cosmetic updates while mechanically retaining the same elements as the preceding model. Firstly launched in 2017, Maruti Ignis directly rivals the Mahindra KUV100 and Ford Freestyle in the Indian market.

Maruti has equipped the Zeta and Alpha grades of new Ignis with roof rails while safety features like Reverse Parking Assist System, Co-Driver Seat Belt Reminder and High Speed Alert System have been made as standard across all the variants. The micro-SUV already comes with dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, seat belt pre-tensioners with force limiters and ISOFIX – child seat restraint system as standard fitments. It is already compliant for frontal offset, side impact and yet to be introduced pedestrian safety crash regulations. Being retailed via the NEXA premium outlets, the 2019 Maruti Ignis is offered in 9 colors: NEXA Blue, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver, Pearl Arctic White, Tinsel Blue, Uptown Red, Tinsel Blue with Pearl Arctic White, Tinsel Blue with Midnight Black and Uptown Red with Midnight Black.
