The upcoming new Maruti Suzuki Baleno for MY2019 has been spied again in clear images. The revamped new Baleno is set to be launched on 27th January 2019. Dealer outlets have already commenced unofficial pre-bookings for Rs. 11,000/-.
All the new Maruti Baleno models will get front passenger SBR and high-speed warning system to adhere to the upcoming safety rules and reverse parking sensors. And the Baleno Delta model will feature projector headlights.
The 2019 Maruti Baleno facelift will be almost similar to its previous model, except a new bumper that carries a freshly styled bumper with new air dam and fog lamp covers. It will also receive new chrome-finished upper grille in the front. Additionally, the facelift Baleno Alpha model would probably get 16-inch alloy wheels, fresh upholstery in the cabin and restyled taillights.
From the mechanical aspect, the famous B2-category hatchback is expected to remain largely the same. The Baleno petrol model comes with the K12M 1.2-litre petrol motor, while the diesel variant has been available with the D13A 1.3-litre engine. The petrol engine churns out 84.30 PS and 115 Nm, while the diesel engine offers 75.05 PS and 190 Nm. And these motors are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission that powers the front wheels. Moreover, an optional CVT comes with the petrol engine.
With the recent hike in prices of the existing Baleno model, costs of the new MY2019 Maruti Baleno are expected to be almost the same. It could be in the price bracket of its rival Hyundai Elite i20 which is available from Rs. 5,41,872 to Rs. 8,53,389 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
