The Japanese automobile maker, Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled the Pajero Sport Facelift in the international markets. The Pajero Sport 2019 is available globally (the Pajero sold in India is one gen older). All-new Pajero Sport receives exterior styling upgrades as well as some tweaks in the cabin.
Speaking of the front, the 2019 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport receives updated front fascia, having a new bumper along with the high-set light clusters, revised chrome grille. The SUV follows the latest Mitsubishi Dynamic Shield design language. Talking of the bonnet, it is now a bit higher, giving the muscular looks to the Pajero Sport.
Another major change is the new design of alloy wheels. In addition, a revised rear bumper, updated tail-lamps and spoiler over the tailgate are some of the changes done on the back. These units do not extend in the bumper.
Coming back to the Facelifted Pajero Sport interior, it now has an 8.0-inch LCD digitized instrument cluster, door handles are finished in leather and revised centre console.
The next-gen Mitsubishi Pajero Sport receives a keyless entry system that gives the owner access to use the smartphone as well as control functions like turning off the hazard lights and locking doors. Other impressive features include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera and powered tailgate.
In terms of specs, the SUV comes powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that cranks out a max power of 181 hp and a peak torque of 430Nm. The engine comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission system and sends the power to two or all-four wheels. In addition, it receives the company's Super-Select 4WD-II system along with the differential lock.
As we have mentioned earlier, the current Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in India is the previous generation and it competes with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4 and Ford Endeavour. At present, there is no official statement from Mitsubishi that when they are planning to bring this next-gen Pajero Sport in India.
