The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 250 gets a standard dual-channel ABS.
It weighs 5 kg lighter than the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.
The all-new Suzuki Gixxer 250 has been launched in the country at a price point of Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is primarily a naked version of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 with a minor difference in riding position and handlebar. That said, it features a single-piece handlebar and an upright riding position.
Styling elements on the motorcycle such as an LED headlamp, fuel tank, tank extensions and split seats are reminiscent of smaller Gixxer 155. It sports a plastic belly pan, a digitalized instrument panel with an LCD display. Colour options available include an all-black paint scheme and a dual-tone theme featuring white and grey colours.
The suspension set-up, chassis, tyres and wheels have been borrowed from Gixxer SF 250. Also common between both the models is the 249cc, single-cylinder, SOHC oil-cooled unit with maximum 26.5hp at 9,000rpm against 22.6Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. It comes paired to a six-speed gearbox and also gets a standard dual-channel ABS. Compared to the fully-faired Gixxer SF 250, it weighs 5kg lighter at 156kg.
