Suzuki Motorcycle launched the 2019 Gixxer SF 150 in the capital today at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Gixxer SF 150 was launched along with its bigger sibling the Gixxer SF 250. The updated edition of Gixxer SF 150 is priced Rs 8,000 more than the ongoing model. The Gixxer SF 150 shares its styling and few other features with the Gixxer SF 250.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke 154.9 CC SOHC, 2-Valve motor. The fuel-injected motor is capable of producing 13.9 bhp of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is linked to a manual 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are carried by conventional telescopic forks at the front and swing-arm type monoshock at the rear. The Gixxer SF 150 runs on 17-inchers at both front and back shod with 100/80 section tubeless tyre and at the front 140/60 section radial tubeless tyre at the rear.
The braking duty on the 2019 Gixxer SF 150 is carried by single disc at both front and back. The updated bike continues to offer a single-channel ABS unit for enhanced braking. Gixxer SF 150 has a kerb weight of 146 kg and can store up to 12-litre of fuel. It has a wheelbase of 1340 mm and 795 mm of seat height. The bike has a 165 mm of ground clearance. Gixxer SF 150 is available in two colour options - Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Sonic Silver.
The updated Gixxer SF 150 is equipped with clip-on handlebars but this being pitched as a sport-tourer we expect that the riding triangle will not be that aggressive. It has also got a new instrument cluster which now comes with white backlight instead of the orange one seen on the previous edition of the motorcycle. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 also gets a revised chrome garnished dual-barrel exhaust muffler. The key rivals of Gixxer SF 150 are Bajaj Pulsar 220 and the recently launched Hero Xtreme 200S.
