Commenting on the launch of 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa, Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, SMIPL said, “For 20 years, Suzuki Hayabusa has been one of the most loved sportsbike among the enthusiasts for almost two decades and has received an excellent response in India. It is our constant endeavour to offer great products, and we are pleased to launch the 2019 edition of Hayabusa in two new colour schemes appealing to a larger fan base and enthusiasts in India.” The bike comes with advanced aerodynamics which adds to superb wind protection both for normal and completely tucked-in seating. 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa will take on the likes of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R and Yamaha YZF R1 in the Indian market.

The 1340cc engine churns out top power of 197bhp at 9500rpm and peak torque of 155Nm at 7200rpm. Suzuki Hayabusa was firstly introduced around two decades back in 1999 and became an iconic name due to its ability to touch the 300kmph speed mark. It was also the fastest production motorcycle in the entire world at one time. Such was the overwhelming demand for the Hayabusa that it propelled Suzuki to locally develop it in India in 2017. The 2019 Hayabusa does a 0-100kmph sprint in merely 2.74 seconds while clocking a top speed of 299kmph. The Hayabusa is also referred as GSX-1300R and it is sold in Euro 4 emission in the Indian and American markets, while being discontinued in the European markets.
