Tata Motors, in association with Jayem Automotives, has launched the new versions of Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP in the Indian market. The updated hatch comes at a price of Rs 6.69 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi), while the updated sedan is priced at Rs. 7.59 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). Being sold by the JT Special Vehicles (JTSV), the duo would be sold at selected Tata Motors dealerships.
The 2019 Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP now flaunt contrast coloured auto fold outside mirrors as standard fitment. Also, the 2019 Tata Tigor JTP sedan gets a piano black shark fin antenna. Both the high-performance vehicles come with fully automatic temperature control (FATC) and Harman ConnectNext 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay as standard. Commenting on the launch of the new JTP variants, Mr Nagbhushan Gubbi (CEO), JTSV said, ”Last year has seen the JTP brand establish as an exciting prospect and a brand which has carved its own cult following in the auto performance segment. It is now time to switch gears and speed ahead. With immense excitement, we are elated to announce the launch of the new avatar of the JTP twins."

Tata Motors had introduced the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay feature to the range-topping variant of the Tiago earlier this year. Both the updated vehicles are powered by the 1.2L turbo petrol engine which develops top power of 112bhp and peak torque of 150Nm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission, while it does a 0-100kmph sprint in under 10 seconds. The company has equipped both the cars with dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Corner Stability Control (CSC) as standard safety features. "This launch reflects our commitment to constantly improve and push boundaries to achieve better. We’re positive that this move will be warmly appreciated by our customers and will only extend the legacy of a #RacerAtHeart,” added Gubbi.
