Toyota has launched three more trims of 2019 Toyota Yaris, J(O), G(O), and V(O) to the existing J, G, V, and VX trims, making it seven. Each trim has a manual and automatic variant, thereby expanding your choice to 14. It is a challenge to select the perfect option. This table could help you do so.

Each of these vehicles comes with a 1.5L petrol engine producing 107hp power and 140Nm peak torque. The manual transmission consists of a 6-speed gearbox whereas the CVT is a 7-speed automatic transmission system. The CVT option delivers a higher mileage of 17.8kmpl as compared to 17.1kmpl by the manual transmission system.

Toyota has now introduced three more options in the J, G, and V trims. 




  • The manual version gets three airbags whereas the CVT gets seven

  • Rear parking sensors, central locking options, keyless entry

  • 15-inch alloy wheels with 185/60 tyres

  • Projector headlights, tilt-adjustable steering, power-adjustable OVRMs four speakers, 60:40 split seating arrangement


  • Three airbags for the lower-spec variants

  • Rear defogger, fog lights, chrome grille, speed-sensing automatic door locks for the mid-spec options

  • Other features include 4.2-inch infotainment system, automatic climate controls, steering-mounted controls


  • Seven airbags for both variants

  • Parking sensors, disc brakes at the rear, cruise control, reverse camera, 7-inch infotainment system

  • Dual-tone exteriors, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels


The Toyota Yaris top-spec VX trim retains the same features. It comes with additional safety features like hill-start assist, LED DRLs, tyre-pressure mounting system, and vehicle stability control. There is no Apple CarPlay feature or Android Auto connectivity in any of the variants.

The Best One To Buy

Considering the options available, the 2019 Toyota Yaris V(O) CVT trim should be the ideal buy because it provides the best features while costing Rs 34,000 more than the existing V-trim.
