Both the bikes draw their power from a 500cc inline twin-cylinder 8-valve, liquid-cooled DOHC engine capable of delivering 47.6hp power and 46Nm peak torque. The bikes mate with a 6-speed gearbox.
Both the bikes have a sturdy trellis frame with steel plates. They come equipped with 50mm telescopic forks for the front wheel and mono-shock absorber for the rear wheel. The bikes have an identical suspension travel of 140mm at the front end, whereas the TRK 502X gets a higher suspension travel of 62mm for the back wheel as against 45mm for the TRK 502.
The bikes have identical 320mm disc brakes at the front wheel. The TRK 502 features a 4-piston caliper, whereas the TRK 502X gets a 2-piston caliper.
