Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the BS 6 Range Rover Evoque at a starting price of Rs 54.94 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The styling cues have been derived from the bigger sibling Velar while it will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The bookings start from today across all the company-authorized dealerships with deliveries slated to begin shortly for diesel while petrol will be made available at a later stage.
As for the exterior design, 2020 Range Rover Evoque comes with sharper and thinner LED headlamps along with restyled front and rear bumpers. The tail-lamp cluster is tweaked as well to provide it a fresh look and appearance. The cabin comprises of dual touchscreen systems - one for infotainment purposes and another for air conditioner controls. In addition, it has been packed with several exquisite features such as 16-way adjustable seats, fully digital instrument console, cabin air-ionization as standard.
Mechanically, the 2020 BS6 Range Rover Evoque is powered by the same 2.0L Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. The petrol unit develops 247 bhp of top power and 365Nm of peak torque, while the diesel motor makes 178bhp and 430Nm. Both the engines will be offered with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. There will also be the All Wheel Drive (AWD) system with an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch. Terrain Response 2, Hill Descent Control (HDC), Lane Keep Assist and Park Assist are some of the premium safety features available with the SUV.
