The 2020 Hyundai Creta will get a grand global debut at the 2020 Auto Expo in February.
The Indian launch of the SUV will be somewhere by the middle of March 2020.
The estimated price of the 2020 Hyundai Creta will be around the Rs 10 to 16 lakh mark.
The 2020 Auto Expo will witness the unveiling of various vehicles. Hyundai Motors, one of the premier automobile manufacturers in India, will be displaying the exterior design of the 2020 Hyundai Creta on February 6, 2020, at the Auto Expo. Bollywood superstar and Hyundai’s brand ambassador, Shahrukh Khan, will be unveiling the 2020 Hyundai Creta at its global debut on that day.
Hyundai has confirmed that the SUV will not be launched at the Expo. It will be displaying the exterior design, much in the same way it did with the Hyundai Aura. Hyundai wants to keep the interiors of the segment-defining SUV as a secret. It will be revealing the same sometime in March 2020 before the official launch of the vehicle. Hyundai has confirmed the launch to happen by the middle of March 2020.
Hyundai had long enjoyed the monopoly in the Indian market in its mid-size SUV segment. However, the recent arrival of MG Hector and the Kia Seltos has heated up the competition. Hyundai endeavours to counter it by releasing the second-gen Hyundai Creta. Other competitors in the fray are the 2020 Mahindra XUV500 and the vehicles from Chinese auto manufacturers like Haima Automobile and Great Wall Motors.
The design of the second-gen Hyundai Creta is not a new one, as it is based on the Hyundai ix25 that was revealed in China in 2019. The Hyundai Creta could come with India-specific features that include a new set of alloy wheels and an innovative grille design. The SUV will retain the headlamp and tail-light designs. Other features available on the Hyundai ix25 such as the 10.25-inch touchscreen info system, the distinctive wheel arches, and the panoramic sunroof will be available on the 2020 Hyundai Creta.
Hyundai will most likely borrow the engine configurations available on the Kia Seltos. Thus, one can expect the Kia Seltos GT-Line’s 1.4L turbo-petrol engine on the 2020 Hyundai Creta.
The launch of the mid-size SUV could happen in March. The expected pricing should be in the range of Rs 10 to 16 lakhs.
