The next-gen Hyundai Creta has been spotted testing once again ahead of its launch in the Indian market. Three units of the SUV were spied as test mule on the Indian roads.
In August 2019, it was confirmed that the China-spec second-gen Hyundai ix25 will be sold in India as the 2020 Hyundai Creta with the world premiere at the Auto Expo 2020 in February, followed by the launch in next couple of months.
The dimensions of the 2020 Hyundai Creta has been out in public domain as it has gone on sale in China. It measures 4300mm in length, 1790mm in width and 1635mm in height while having a wheelbase of 2610mm. As compared to the ongoing model, then it is longer and wider by 10mm while taller by 8mm.
The wheelbase is also extended by 20mm along-with a boot capacity of 444 liters which is said to be the biggest in the segment. The India-spec 2020 Hyundai Creta is also expected to have identical dimensions as the ix25.
The exterior styling of new-gen Creta is a radical departure from the current model while taking inspiration from the company's flagship SUV Palisade.
The 2020 Hyundai Creta interior will feature a host of advanced and up-market features such as a fully digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, electric parking brake with auto-hold function and a 360-degree camera system.
Mechanically, it will be offered with the 113bhp 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 113bhp turbo diesel, and the 118bhp 1.0L turbocharged petrol engines. The transmission options will be a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
